London Chamber Celebrates Award and Passed Resolutions at 2026 OCC AGM
The 2026 Ontario Chamber of Commerce @ontariocofc AGM took place on April 23-25 at the Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa and was attended by Andrew Groves, a representative from the London Chamber of Commerce.
The AGM marked another successful year for the Ontario Chamber network and Ottawa hosted many important and engaging speakers over the course of the conference.
The London Chamber of Commerce was proud to be recognized with an honourable mention for the outstanding advocacy campaign award for their work done on the Downtown London plan.
We also presented two policy resolutions, the first being “Supporting Ontario’s Small Landlords to Strengthen the Rental Housing Market” with the goal of updating small landlord frameworks in order to create a more predictable rental system that supports labour mobility and business competitiveness.
The second resolution was “Strengthening Ontario’s Workforce Through Improvements to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program” which seeks to improve transparency in the OINP program by providing clear, accessible information on how OINP draws are conducted, how occupations are selected, how “critical roles” are defined, and what processing timelines businesses should expect.
Both of these resolutions passed with majority support and will be added to the Ontario Chamber’s policy compendium. We look forward to attending the 2027 OCC AGM in Guelph next year.
