On Friday, December 19, 2025, our community gathered at the Western Fair District Agriplex for a Morning of Celebration to mark the conclusion of another successful Business Cares Food Drive.

This annual moment matters because the need is real and it is growing. Across Canada, Food Banks Canada reports that food bank usage has doubled since 2019, with continued year over year increases that are putting pressure on local supports.

Here in London, the London Food Bank continues to support thousands of families each month, and local reporting has highlighted how quickly demand can rise even within a single year.

London businesses keep showing up with care

What stood out most today was not only the scale of donations, but the spirit behind them. London’s business community continues to rise year after year with generous gifts of food and financial support, supported by volunteers who give their time with humility and heart.

These contributions go beyond meeting an immediate need. They help families and individuals feel seen, supported, and included, with dignity and belonging.

Thank you to Business Cares leadership and volunteers

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Business Cares Food Drive committee, volunteers, board, and the entire campaign team, including Wayne Dunn, Chair of Business Cares, for the leadership that helps keep this initiative strong and community driven.

The London Chamber of Commerce is proud of London businesses for stepping up, and proud to stand alongside partners who keep care at the centre of how we build our city.

Taking care of business means taking care of people

Today was a reminder of something London does exceptionally well. We lead with care. We respond with action. And when our community needs support, London businesses show up.

Thank you, London. Thank you, Business Cares.
