Call for Expressions of Interest

We are seeking interested community members to serve on our 2024/25 Board and Committees

Are you interested in serving on the Board of the London Chamber of Commerce or one of its Governance Committees? Then now is the time to express your interest!

The Board of the London Chamber is seeking interested members of the community to serve on its Board and its three committees: Governance and Nominations (view terms of reference); People and Culture (view terms of reference); and Finance, Audit and Risk (view terms of reference)

The London Chamber of Commerce values Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and has committed to this by participating in Canada’s 50/30 challenge . We encourage applications from candidates who belong to equity-deserving groups including those who identify as racialized, black, and/or people of colour, people with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+ and/or gender and sexually diverse individuals, and Indigenous Peoples. The Chamber explicitly recognizes that Indigenous Peoples are underrepresented in positions of economic influence and leadership and seeks to take action to remedy this.

The values that drive our Strategic Plan are Member Focus, Leadership, Community, Inclusion, and Integrity. The Chamber’s Strategic Plan is founded on three pillars:

  1. Developing strong and impactful member services;
  2. Effective operations and governance; and 
  3. Championing economic prosperity and social progress.

Every effort was made to ensure that the principles of equity, diversity. and inclusion were infused into the Strategic Plan as well as our governance.

The London Chamber is well-positioned to support the business community as it looks to address the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities in the years ahead. Our Strategic Plan provides a roadmap for how the Chamber can help its members succeed and how we can be a better member of the community.

In terms of the commitment of your precious time, the Board meets five times a year: January, April, June, September, and December. Each meeting lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours. Board members will also participate in one of the three Governance Committees. Each Committee meets approximately four times a year and the meetings last approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. In addition, it is hoped that Board Members will attend many of the Chamber's events, such as the Business Achievement Awards, the State of the City, our Business After Five networking events, and so on.
