We are pleased to welcome Laura Le Faive, who will be joining us for her field placement with the London Chamber of Commerce. Laura is at Fanshawe College for Public Relations and Corporate Communications. She is originally from London Ontario, then moved to Ottawa for her post-secondary education. She graduated from Carleton University in 2019, where she obtained her degree in Communications and Media Studies. Laura then moved back to London where she hopes to create a voice and a brand for herself right here in her hometown.
What she enjoys most about communications and public relations is its focus on relationships. She believes every connection is different and requires unique tailoring to ones needs. Laura values the practice of networking and believes it is an important skill for anyone. Although she is still working on this skill, she sees the importance of a good introduction and a smile. In her free time Laura enjoys working out at the gym and walking her family pet, a West Highland Terrier named Casi. She loves being outside and staying active, even in these long Canadian winters.
Laura is hoping to learn new skills, meet new people, and immerse herself in the community of London. By working at the London Chamber of Commerce she hopes to use her love for social media, writing, photography and design. She wants to use this experience to learn how to be a professional communicator and enhance her skills. She has always loved making connections with people and the world around her. Laura is eager to take her love for communicating and connecting with others and align it with her career and goals. She brings her passion and positivity to everything she does.
She is excited for what is to come and to be a part of a team of hardworking individuals here at the Chamber.
