Jack Smit, retired President & CEO, of Libro Financial Group has been recognized by Credit Union Central of Canada for his lifetime achievements in advancing the Canadian credit union system. Jack Smit will be inducted into the Canadian Credit Union Hall of Fame on Wednesday, July 17th, during the World Council of Credit Unions Conference in Ottawa. Jack's career in the credit union system spans over five decades.

Neighbourhood Watch Gala to raise funds to save Graffiti Program

Neighbourhood Watch London is celebrating their 30th anniversary with a Gala event of dancing, dinner, entertainment and a silent auction. The grand auction item is a cruise of 5 days, 4 nights to a chosen destination of the Western Caribbean, Bahamas or Mexico.

The Gala will be held on May 4th, 2013 at 6:00pm at the Aeolian Hall with tickets being sold at $35 each and can be purchased at Allstate locations and Neighbourhood Watch London.

The Achievement Centre is Growing!

Since moving its head office to London in 2010, The Achievement Centre (TAC) has continued to grow as a business. Approaching its 30th year in operation, TAC provides learning materials and assessment tools to coaches, consultants, and facilitators.

With new principals & associates joining the team, TAC increased their support staff to include a Communications Coordinator, Client Experience Specialist, Finance & Administration Coordinator and, most recently, a VP of Client Development.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Frank Stechey, will share his personal experience with The Salvation Army following the World Trade Center disaster where he served as a part of the Dental Identification Team.

Qdoba Mexican Grill Celebrates Grand Opening in London

London residents can enjoy Qdoba's menu of fresh, quality ingredients and innovative Mexican cuisine starting March 18th 2013.

To celebrate the grand opening in London, Qdoba will give one free entree to the first 20 customers in line each day of the restaurant's opening week, March 18-23. The Ontario restaurant will also encourage guests to become members of Qdoba Rewards, a program that routinely rewards participants with free food and other benefits. The first 500 Ontario customers who register as members of Qdoba Rewards will receive a free burrito when they purchase an entree, and anyone who registers during opening week will be automatically entered to win free burritos for a year.
