OES Talks - Connect to Innovate

The Ontario Economic Summit (OES) brings together some of the most successful and influential leaders from business, government, labour, NGOs, and academia in a collaborative effort to help build increased economic prosperity in Ontario.
Leading up to the Summit in November, the Ontario Chamber has been hosting a series of talks at local chambers in order to reach out to and involve more Ontario businesses and univeristies.
On June 2nd, one of those talks was held here at the London Chamber of Commerce. Our panelists included Dr. Ted Hewitt - Vice President, Research & International Relations, The University of Western Ontario; Marvin R. DeVries M.Eng., P.Eng - President, Trojan Technologies; Laura Garton, Dirctor, Strategic Planning & Policy Branch, Ministry of Research and Innovation; and Dr. Tom Corr, President & CEO, Ontario Centres of Excellence Inc.
The session was an open dialogue between panelists and the audience. Participants had the opportunity to share ideas and make recommendations on how to create more opportunities for partnership, soldify existing ones, and provide the right tools for an optimal research partnership platform.
