Our Featured Comedians
Tim Nutt
Originally from Vancouver, Tim Nutt is a comic who can't be judged by his cover. Long-haired, bearded and "rough around the edges", audiences expect Nutt's material to match. But he surprises with razored-down punch lines and well conjured-up premises that place him as one of the top comics working today.
Tim is happy to be making his third Just For Laughs appearance.
Dave Hemstad
Dave Hemstad hits your soul with crafty storytelling and gut-busting hilarity, infusing each of his tales with poignant and topical humour. An accomplished comedy writer, stand-up performer and actor, Dave has earned a reputation for his insightful logic and penetrating witticism.
His Credits include 2 time Canadian Comedy Award nominee, Halifax Comedy Festival, Moncton HubCap Comedy Festival,Sudbury Comedy Festival, Madly Off In All Directions for CBC Radio. CTV's Comedy Now. Appearing in both film and television on the hit comedy series "Billable Hours" and "Jeff Ltd." and starring in the short film "Death by Scrabble".
Due to his overwhelming success oft his gala performance at Just For Laughs Montreal in 2008, Dave was invited to perform at both Toronto and Montreal Just For Laughs 2009.
Jebb Fink
Jebb is a 25 year veteran comedy performer and writer who is the Co Creator and inspiration for the Gemini Award winning TV Series "An American in Canada" which aired on CBC and is now being shown on PBS. Jebb is a regular at the Montreal's Comedy Festival "Just For Laughs" as performer, writer and host of 7 Just For Laughs Specials for CBC. Jebb is currently Co Host of "Your City", a daily TV magazine style show on City TV. Jebb's most recent project is a pilot titled "Are You In Or Out?" Jebb was born in Compton, California and raised in Idaho. In 1989 he moved to Canada when he met and married his second wife. Getting his start on his prom night Jebb has become a father of 4 and grandfather of 9, God help us all!
