Meeting Dates and Times
Second Thursday of the month at noon at the Chamber Meeting Centre.
Committee Objectives
- To support the Chamber's efforts to identify issues and effectively express the views of the business community to municipal government on matters relevant to London and area.
- To participate in the development of municipal policy as it effects economic growth and development for London.
2007/2008 Program Plan
- The committee will identify issues and express views and recommendations on matters including economic development, municipal finances, transportation, and environmental issues
- The committee will monitor and report on potential emerging issues and develop the Chamber's position on such issues
- Create an Environmental subcommittee and Manufacturing subcommittee to investigate and suggest ways the Chamber can play an active role in these two areas within the City
- Self propagation: in order to maintain committee effectiveness and vitality the committee members will continue to recruit new members in a Varity of sectors such as manufacturing, institutional, service, development, technology and professional services.
