Membership Sales and Services Committee
Meeting Dates and Times
Meetings take place on the third Wednesday of the month at 8:30am.
Committee Objectives
- Support the Chamber's efforts to increase new membership sales while at the same time focusing on member retention
- Support the Chamber's efforts to articulate value added benefits that are offered
- Be responsible for the content, review and execution of all sales/service related programs, tools & materials
- Be responsible for the care and handling of new(er) members primarily through both New Member Welcomes and the Member Advisor Program
2010/2011 Program Plan
Sales:
- An annual content review of all membership sales materials including brochures, flyers, web presence, on-line tools etc. (marketing and branding to fall under Marketing and Communications Committee)
- Establish a lead-generation strategy to provide Chamber Membership sales staff with a list of contacts.
Service:
- Plan, organize, and host all New Member Welcomes (Chaired by Josie Lane)
- Plan, organize, and host all Member Advisor Programs (Chaired by Josie Lane)
- Work with designated representatives of our various benefit programs to market and promote these products i.e. Group Insurance, TD Merchant Services, ESSO discount.
- Re-Evaluate the current Affinity Program Scorecard used to determine standards for making recommendations for approval of any new proposed affinity product or service. Using the revised scorecard, evaluate proposed programs and make recommendations to the Board (includes offers from the OCC and CCC).
- Analyze and act on the findings of our various member surveys
- Provide a response to proposed changes to membership investments, benchmarked against other similar organizations.
- Define parameters for Member 2 Member discount program offers, and work with Marketing and Communications to promote the program as a benefit of membership.
- In concert with the Marketing & Communications Committee, develop a "Value Proposition" statement that best defines the ROI on our Chamber Dues/Investment.
